Emotional regulation skills constitute a crucial component in fostering the psychological resilience of elementary school children in coping with academic and social demands. Nevertheless, many children continue to experience difficulties in recognizing, expressing, and managing their emotions in adaptive ways, which may lead to low levels of resilience and inadequate coping abilities when confronted with challenging situations. This community service program aimed to enhance elementary school children’s understanding of emotions and their emotional regulation skills as a means of strengthening psychological resilience. The intervention employed a psychoeducational approach with interactive methods, including the delivery of age-appropriate materials, educational games, group discussions, and simulations of everyday situations relevant to the children’s experiences. The activity was conducted with elementary school students, with teachers actively involved as facilitators. The results indicated an improvement in children’s understanding of different types of emotions, as well as their ability to express and regulate emotions more adaptively. Furthermore, children demonstrated more positive attitudes toward challenges, such as increased perseverance, improved self-calming abilities, and greater openness to seeking help. These findings suggest that psychoeducation on emotional regulation is an effective and feasible strategy for enhancing resilience among elementary school children.
